A Guide to the B Corps of SoCal

B Corps are helping to redefine business success and setting a new standard of corporate social responsibility. Financial profit is not the only measure of business success any more; now, a company's demonstrated commitment to the larger community and the environment are also important metrics.

 

People want to work for and patronize companies that do good.

 

B Lab, a nonprofit based in Philadelphia, confers B Corp status to businesses that annually document their commitment to people and planet. . 

 

As of December 4, 2015, there were 1,498 B Corps in the United States and abroad. We are pleased to report that of the 234 B Corps in our state, dozens are located in Southern California--some are very well known like Patagonia and The Honest Company--some are less well known. We want to shine a light on them all.
